[10:59] hobbes8u: Well there you have it. A very informative if not quite blasphemous and/or rather depressing interview with the one and only Santa Claus.

Mix together in a bowl and set aside:
1/2 cup warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons yeast
Mix in another bowl:
2 cups scalded milk
2 tablespoons shortening
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
To milk mixture add 3 cups flour. Then add 2 eggs and mix. Then add yeast mixture and mix. Then 3 more cups of flour(you may not need all three cups). Knead well and raise dough. Punch down when doubled and raise again. Then on a floured surface press dough into a 8 x 12 rectangle.
Sprinkle over dough in order:
1 stick of butter, melted
a mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar
chopped walnuts or pecans(as many as you prefer.
Roll into a large roll and cut individual rolls with floss or thread. Rise on baking sheets and then Bake at 375° for 20 minutes. Frost with a cream cheese frosting.

I think the Christmas I got my first flute was the most memorable. My parents were worried that I’d be disappointed if I only had one small present to open (even though it was expensive), so they let me stay up and help them put out the Santa presents for the other kids. It was so fun to be in on the surprise!
3) If you were in control of all things Christmas what would we see and what we we see disappear?
There would definitely be less working, and more time to make fun Christmas crafts or do holiday baking, or even just wrap presents.
4) There have been people concerned with Santa’s chubby image, that it might have an unhealthy effect on children. What do you have to say to that?
I think it is great to have a positive role model with a more “jolly” body type. And at least kids will have a realistic picture of what a diet of only cookies and milk can do to a person.
5) What’s the worst gift you have ever received?
Hmm. Probably the sweatshirt with handprints appliqueed over each breast. Thanks, Grandma! Also, it had been purchased six months earlier, so I could only get store credit–toward another appliqueed sweatshirt.
6) Everyone knows that Santa’s elves make the toys for billions of people across the world. How do you think they manage?
Well, luckily they have been bred especially for that purpose. I mean, they must have evolved to be the best, fastest toy makers around, right? I know that if I were a comely young she-elf, I would go for the most successful guy in the toy shop. Also, lots of coffee.
7) Do you have any last Christmas thoughts for our readers?
It doesn’t have to be perfect.

Mix together and pat in bottom of 9×13 pan bake at 350° for 20 minutes:
1 cup flour, rounded
1 stick of butter
Mix in a separate bowl:
1 8 oz pkg of cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
a little milk
fold 1 cup cool whip into mixture and spread over crust.
Mix together:
1 large pkg of instant vanilla pudding
1 large pkg of instant chocolate pudding
and add 2 1/2 cups milk and beat. Pour over cream cheese mixture. Cover with cool whip and top with grated chocolate. Refrigerate for a few hours.

1 cup oats
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 stick of butter or 1/2 cup oil
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Soak oats in boiling water for 20 mins. Cream butter, sugars and eggs. Add oatmeal and remainder of ingredients. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes
Frosting:
1/4 cup evaporated milk
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup coconut
Bring to boil the first three ingredients. Remove from heat and add nuts and coconut. Spread on cake while warm.

[13:20] Brent: Happy Birthday Jesus! I can say that around my house or I get in trouble for not respecting His name. Yet on Christmas eve my wife bakes a carrot cake and we sing happy birthday to Jesus.

We often make this salad during the holidays. It’s one of my favorites.
4 cups lettuce, chopped
1/2 cup green onions, chopped
1 pkg frozen peas, thawed
Dressing:
(2 cups mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper)
Cheese, grated
Bacon, fried, drained, and crumbled
Layer the salad in this order and refrigerate for at least eight hours. (NOTE: normally there is green peppers, which is the seventh layer, but ewwww. Also I like to add more dressing, cheese and bacon. Obviously if you’ve seen me you’d know why)

3/4 cup flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup pumpkin
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
powdered sugar
Sift dry ingredients(flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt). Beat eggs 5 minutes. Beat in sugar. Stir in pumpkin and lemon juice. Fold in dry ingredients. Spread in a well-greased lined with parchment paper jelly-roll pan(15″x10″). Top with nuts. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes. Loosen edge and turn out immediately on a dish towel sprinkled with powdered sugar. Starting at narrow end roll towel and cake together. Cool and unroll.
Filling:
1 cup powdered sugar
6 oz cream cheese
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Frost w/filling. Reroll. Wrap in foil and refrigerate or freeze.

1 chocolate cake mix(preferably Devil’s food)
1 4 oz pkg instant chocolate pudding
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup warm water
4 eggs
Preheat oven at 350°. Mix together and add 1 pkg mini chocolate chips. Pour into a well greased bundt pan and bake for 1 hour or more while testing often. When almost cool, drizzle chocolate glaze over the top. When chocolate glaze is almost set, sprinkle powdered sugar over it.
Glaze:
In a small pan combine:
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon oil
1 tablespoon corn syrup
Cook and stir over low heat til ingredients are melted together beat in 1 cup powdered sugar til very smooth.
