[Update on Lissy’s interview]
[11:20] Lissy: incidentally those were the very undies I pooped in on the way home from ridgecrest when dad said he wouldn’t stop for a bathroom. But at least the poop didn’t stick like it would have to cotton undies. So I just dumped the poop on the front lawn and went in side. Mom never knew. and they washed up great!
Cream together well in main bowl:
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
Add one at a time to main bowl:
2 eggs
Combine together in a separate bowl:
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups flour
Combine together in another bowl:
1 cup canned whole cranberry sauce(Or it could be homemade)
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
Add flour and fruit mixture into main bowl and stir in:
1/2 c walnuts
Do not over mix. Pour in greased and floured loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 45 mins.
